Born in Wigan , Paul started playing the cornet at the age of 12 in Brass Bands and later moved on to trumpet. Aged 18 he moved to Lon don to study at Trinity College of Music. Paul’s professional career began over 20 years ago mainly working in musical theatre, shows include Jesus Christ Superstar, Chorus Line, Chess, 42nd Street, and West Side Story. On the pop side, Paul has worked with the Super Furry Animals, Toploader and the Drifters. TV credits include: Wogan, '' A Thing Called Love'', and Ant and Decs Saturday Night Takeaway. As well as playing, Paul teaches trumpet in schools including Rugby School . One of the highlights of his teaching career was listening to a pupil, Lucy, playing with the National Youth Orchestra at the Albert Hall in the BBC Proms. |
